Community Easter Egg Hunt
The annual event is hosted by the agency's Recreation Department and the residents. Families enjoy a FREE egg hunt, candy, games and chance drawings. The residents add to the festivities by doing face painting, and assit in the over all planning and management of the event. The event is a local tradition for many members of the community.
Service Day

Service Day is held two times a year in the spring and in the summer. Area volunteers assit with projects available for all ages and ability levels at our picturesque main campus. Service Day is an easy 1-day volunteer opportunity for corporate and faith-based groups, students, scouts and/or anyone looking to give back to the community. The agency's Board of Directors, residents and staff also participate. The day includes a FREE breakfast, lunch and an Ice Cream Social for all! For more information call: 909-596-5921, ext 3311.

Notes of Love

The annual Gala is held each year in the fall. The event is hosted by the Board of Directors for donors, advocates, friends, business partners, supporters and alumni. For more information contact Julie at 909-596-5921, x3180 or GriffithJ@DavidandMargaret.org. Sponsorships available.

9th Annual Acoustic Christmas
The Michael Beatty Band with special guest Tracy G. will again play to benefit David & Margaret Youth and Family Services at their 9th Annual Acoustic Christmas, on Sunday, Dec. 14, 7-9 p.m. at Beer Belly Deli in the Packing House, 590 W. First St., Claremont. The concert is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring a donation of cash or a gift card valued at $15 or more to help the agency’s programs geared toward local youth who are transitioning out of foster care and into self sufficiency. In addition, 15 percent of all food and beverage purchases during the concert will benefit the agency.

David & Margaret Youth and Family Services serves approximately 1,000 clients annually through a comprehensive range of services, including a residentially-based program for adolescent girls, shelter care for adolescent girls and boys, a foster family agency, adoption assistance, mental health services, treatment for learning disabilities, a transitional living program, school- and community-based education and mentoring programs. Additionally, it has a chemical program that is certified by the State of California for residents who are recovering from substance abuse. Joan Macy School, a specialized nonpublic on-grounds school, opened in 1989 and serves agency residents, as well as students referred from surrounding school districts.

2015 Annual Gala

Date(s): Friday, Oct. 16, 2015

Time(s): 6:00-10:00 p.m.

Each year, tens of thousands of children start “aging out” of the foster care system at age 18. Turning 18 means losing support—financial, educational, social, and otherwise—that they count on.

Do your part in making their future a success by attending or being a donor to David & Margaret Youth and Family Services’ 2015 Annual Gala! The Monte Carlo-themed fund raiser will be held Friday, October 16, 6-10 p.m. at the Avalon Room in Pomona. The 2015 Gala includes a gourmet meal, live music, casino-style gaming, silent auction, raffle, and more. Purchase tickets now at http://tinyurl.com/davidmargaretgala.

The 2015 Annual Gala is part of The Campaign for David & Margaret in support of a new 36-unit supportive housing complex currently under construction to provide assistance for children transitioning out of foster care and low-income families. The Campaign will also fund a new Youth Workforce Training Center, a not-for-profit store and café, allow for facility and infrastructure improvements, and create an endowment fund to sustain the agency long term.

For more information, contact Publicity Coordinator Julie Griffith at GriffithJ@DavidandMargaret.org or at (909) 596-5921, ext. 3180.
